March 2 2016

In true BV form, the remix delivers their distinctive bold, heavy beats and intriguing production that has become so well known across the local dance music and club scene.

Of the song they note, “‘Hold’ is such an expressive song and Vera’s performance is so assured and emotionally transparent, we jumped at the opportunity to work on this remix. We’re suckers for this kind of sincerity and tried to really support the beautiful vulnerability of the lyrics while also taking it a little bit to the club.”.

BV will be releasing their follow up to ‘BLACK ON BLACK ON BLACK’ later this year and play Secret Garden Festival this weekend.

The remix follows an exciting few months for Vera Blue who dropped into the scene late in 2015 debuting ‘Hold’, the glistening first taste of her forthcoming EP release by the 20-year old folk turned electronic artist from Forbes, NSW.

LOVE FOR VERA BLUE

‘The track grabs hold (no pun intended) of you firmly by the first words within it, and that grip does not loosen as we begin to notice her sweet vocal is really quite strong and convincing throughout.’
HIlly Dilly

‘’’Hold’ is the totally bewitching first taste of her forthcoming EP. If there was a really emotional moment in a film where the two main characters confessed their love for each other in the middle of a road while it was pouring with rain, this would be the soundtrack.’
Dom Alessio, Home and Hosed

‘Sydney newcomer Vera Blue is positively fearless with this track…Really, really beautiful, and really, really promising.’

‘Cutting her teeth as a folk artist in the small town of Forbes, 20-year old Vera Blue makes a powerful statement with the first taste of her dalliance into the realms of electronica. The track and video clip are equally stunning, and an alluring first taste of her on-the-way five-track EP.’
Pilerats

‘It’s a solemn, angelic slice of electronica that absolutely glitters with the pristine sheen of her glossy vocals.’
Purple Sneakers

‘One To Watch – It’s dreamy, its powerful, its lifting.’
