Florence-born, Sydney-based producer RIBONGIA today releases his ESCAPISMS EP out via October Records which premiered on Pigeons and Planes overnight. Listen to his most recent single ‘Downstream’, lifted from the EP here.

This follows his 2014 debut EP release It Began which featured tracks such as ‘It Began’ and ‘Gazela’ that gained support from early adopters such as Skrillex’s NestHQ, Nina Las Vegas, Sinden and more and introduced audiences to his distinctive style of worldly electronic music.

The ESCAPISMS EP features previously released singles ‘Journeys’ and ‘My Word’ featuring emcee Hancoq of the Melbourne-based hip-hop collective ESESE along with three new tracks all beautifully diverse in nature.  Of the release, Ribongia (real name Antonio Rosselli Del Turco) says, “Music offers me an escape and with ESCAPISMS, I wanted to try and share that same feeling with others by taking them around the world through their headphones.”

Known for incorporating and celebrating native African sounds such as Azonto, Gqom and Shaangan Electro together with a careful blend of trap and footwork genres, Ribongia’s music reflects his curious mind and cutting edge style like no other.
