Pieater announces: Airling shares new song ‘A Day in the Park (feat. Tom Iansek)’ and accompanying live video

March 26 2017

Following the release of the first two singles ‘Move Me‘ and ‘Not A Fighter‘ off her forthcoming debut LP ‘Hard To Sleep, Easy To Dream‘, Airling returns with the release of album track ‘A Day In The Park (Feat. Tom Iansek)‘ and accompanying live video. Watch it below:

The beautifully stripped back track was written after walking in on Iansek playing the piano riff in the studio one day. Shepherd notes, “It’s a duet and a poignant and peaceful moment in the middle of the album. I feel like it’s a reminder for us to take time out to be peaceful, to fill ourselves up with love and the hope we have for others to be filled up with this love as well.  I think this song is also reflective of the trust and friendship Tom and I have, as well as our intangible and powerful creative connection.”

Fans of Airling have the chance to see the track live across her upcoming Australian Album Tour, stopping at Adelaide, Perth, Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne this May, alongside the fast-rising Sydney artist Jack Grace as support.

Airling’s debut album ‘Hard To Sleep, Easy To Dream‘ is out via Pieater on April 28. Produced by Tom Iansek and band-member Graham Ritchie and featuring collaborations with long-time friends Emma Louise, Fractures and Tom Iansek, the album is the culmination of a lifetime of stories and two years of hard work from the Brisbane-based artist.
