Parisalexa today shares the next single, “Troubled Waters,” off her forthcoming album 2 Real, listen HERE.

Troubled Waters” is about taking a chance on love despite living in a seemingly disposable modern dating culture. In her own words, “In a day where many relationships have no strings attached, falling in love seems a little outdated. I wrote this song about a relationship that seemed like it could either turn into real love or big trouble. Either way, I was gonna enjoy the ride.”

Seattle’s Parisalexa (aka 21-year-old Paris Alexa Williams) creates R&B with hints of soul, jazz, and hip hop. Garnering comparisons to ’90s greats like Monica or Faith Evans, Paris has already made fans at NPR Music, Genius, KEXP, Seattle Times, HotNewHipHop, Nylon, among others, for her stunning voice and star power.

The forthcoming album, 2 Real, is a level up for the Seattle favorite. On her debut full-length project, Paris showcases an impressive mix of ballads, soul, and old school R&B. Watch “Chocolate” HERE, a triumphant celebration of melanin and certified bop.

Parisalexa has previously released two EPs, featuring lead single “Ballin” (+2.6Mill Spotify streams). She’s also toured with Xavier Omar and Ivy Sole; released music with Omar, Sango, Tuxedo, among others; and appeared on the NBC show ‘Songland.’
