Charlotte Day Wilson unveils debut album ALPHA

Tkaronto / Toronto soul/R&B singer and producer Charlotte Day Wilson has released her long-awaited debut album ALPHA, out now via her own imprint, Stone Woman MusicLISTEN HERE.

ALPHA is an eleven-song project of metaphor and earnest declarations, recollecting Charlotte’s inner struggles of love, growing, and breaking that she’s finally speaking to in a greater way. Self-produced, the album shines a light on her prodigious instrumentation skills, which are deeply admired by peers alike: BADBADNOTGOODSyd and Daniel Caesar, who each appear on ALPHA. Joining the previously released and widely praised singles ‘Take Care of You‘ ft. Syd, Keep Moving‘ and ‘If I Could‘ includes ‘I Can Only Whisper‘ featuring the jazz-funk trio BADBADNOTGOOD, premiered by The Zane Lowe show on Apple Music, and her landmark release ‘Mountains‘, which has garnered over 20 million streams since its release. 

Charlotte has continued to make wonders with the ALPHA era in showcasing her impressive instrumental repertoire of guitar, bass, drum pad, and piano talent – this year Charlotte was nominated for the Juno Award for Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for ‘Take Care of You‘, and was named Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the month for the month of June.
