Esteemed dance music stars Bag Raiders today share their second anthemic single of the year, titled ‘Never Forget’. LISTEN HERE.

Where their last release ‘URHeart’ was heavy with sweeping sidechained keys, ‘Never Forget’ is another late-night cut that holds a 2-step pattern in its stuttering beat, laden with a shimmering percussion that plays a major support role to the chopped-up vocals that build with vibrant intensity. Speaking to the experience of driving home after losing your love and/or friends on the dancefloor, ‘Never Forget’ is presented on a pedestal of sentiment: a collage of memories that recalls the night before and the morning after. Coupled with rich production, the track is a short and sharp jab to the heart that traverses the timelessness the duo has become known for.

Of the release, Bag Raiders explain, “Lyrically, Never Forget came from a place of appreciation for those special people, moments, and experiences in life that open the heart to new worlds and possibilities. It’s these expressions of love we give and receive that build us into who we are. Musically, there are parallels with nods toward those special sounds we grew up listening to, a bit of garage, a bit of dance, some synth tweaking and melancholic chords, sample-esque vocal treatments etc. So is it a tribute to love and lovers or a tribute to dance and the dance floor? We guess it’s both.”

Following the success of their 2019 sophomore LP Horizons, Bag Raiders’ previous single ‘UR Heart’ accompanied the announcement of their newly minted label Broken Head Records further solidifying them as the benchmark for electronic pop music not only in so-called Australia but around the world. Previous release ‘UR Heart’ garnered international praise from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Sarah Story, KISS FM UK’s Sam Divine, Ben Malone and TCTS, Apple Music 1 and triple j with the coveted Friday Mix and multiple spins to launch the new track. Wider praise coming from the likes of DJ Mag, EARMILK, Pilerats, EDM.com, and Stoney Roads, with a stack of streaming playlists including Monster Dance cover and global DJ support from TOKiMONSTA, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, A-Trak, Fouk, Adana Twins, Dom Dolla, John Digweed, Eelke Kleijn and Oliver Heldens.

Not many artists have had an immense effect on the youth of today quite like Bag Raiders. Whether that be sound-tracking many a sweaty night on a dancefloor, sing-a-longs at some of the biggest festivals in the world, or even becoming the anthem to one of the most iconic moments in the internet’s history, the electronic duo have done it all; and are ready for more. Their place as stalwarts in the dance community for over a decade comes after releasing a slew of cult-favourite singles and signing to dance-powerhouse Modular Records, which saw the duo release their debut self-titled record in 2011. The record debuted at #7 on the ARIA Charts and snagged them a ‘Best Dance Release’ nomination at that year’s ARIA Awards. A part of that record was the single ‘Shooting Stars‘ which has amassed over 4 billion streams online, clocked over 32 Platinum or Gold plaques worldwide and a cultural impact beyond anyone’s expectations.

With their next chapter upon us and tour dates popping up across North America, Australia and Asia, Bag Raiders are hungrier, more creative, and ecstatic about what will come next.
