Introducing Pip Blom: Listen to new single ‘Come Home’ taken off upcoming Paycheck EP out October 5 via Nice Swan Records

September 20 2018

Meet PIP BLOM, the 22-year old artist from Amsterdam joining the ranks of 2018’s rising guitar acts with her new single ‘Come Home’ which premiered via Stereogum overnight. The track is taken off her upcoming Paycheck EP out this October 5 digitally with a 12” vinyl following early November, via Nice Swan Records (home to breakout UK band Sports Team). Listen to ‘Come Home‘ HERE.

The news follows the release of the attitude-laden track ‘Pussycat‘, the first to be lifted from the forthcoming EP, which landed early praise from Noiseyi-D, DIY Mag, BBC 6 Music’s A-list rotation and more and saw Pip Blom take to the road supporting The Breeders, Franz Ferdinand and Bodega.

Not bad going for someone whose childhood songwriting aspiration of competing on the Eurovision Song Contest never really got off the ground (an adolescent attempt at penning a tune with her best friend, in her own words, “sucked”). Still, pricking the ears of the likes of Franz Ferdinand, The Breeders and Garbage, all of whom have recently invited Pip to tour with them, as well as gaining spins and live sessions across 6 Music and Radio One, with plenty of festival appearances under her belt including Reeperbahn Festival this weekend, must all be going some way to make up for early Eurovision disappointment.

Pip Blom will take her energetic and gripping live show on their first-ever headline UK tour in November. See dates and details here.

Come Home‘ is out on Nice Swan Records.
Buy/stream it on SpotifyApple MusiciTunes Music and more now.

The Paycheck EP is available on vinyl for pre-order now.
